Mandolin Page Header~Hynek Pavlu studied in the Czech instrument makers school in Luby in the early 1990s. He's been making mandolins since 1996. Pavlu F4 standard~Its beautifully made, it plays beautifully and its only just over a grand. This F4 from Hynek has the classic deep woody bass of an oval hole but with great clarity and projection and clear trebbles. I might get told off by the Bluegrass police (you can't play Bluegrass on an oval hole my son) but I would say it is ideal for ban*o bashing. Great tone with plenty of cut and bark. With gold hardware, raduised fretboard, tripple bound top, back, fretboard and headstock and beautiful abalone inlays. This also is a lot (a very lot, if you can say that) of mandolin for the money… A great bluegrass cannon or hoss depending on your choice of superlative, nice woody bass, clear trebles and lots of bark, chop and volume to take on the ba*j*.
