Lebeda F5 premium mandola with McIntyre feather pickuop - USED~Great condition 2002 F5 dola from Jiri Lebeda. If you like your mandolas with a very dark sound this is the one. I have done a lot of mandola playing recently and find it even harder than with the mandolin to choose my favourite sound!! Some dolas have the darkness with some brightness at the top end, others just sound like they are deeper than the notes suggest, this is one of those, it growls and grumbles like no other. All the Lebeda mandolas I've had have sounded like this, I had an A4 master for many years and have often regretted selling it, I might just keep this one... With hardshel case.~Great condition 2002 F5 dola from Jiri Lebeda. If you like your mandolas with a very dark sound this is the one. Lebeda F4 Standard~For those interested in the difference between Oval and F hole mandolins here's a chance for a direct comparison. Two stunningly beautiful hand made mandolins from Jiri Lebeda and at very good prices; spruce top, highly flamed maple back and sides, body, fretboard and peghead bindings and solid cast tailpieces. The differences sound hole types make are very clear on these two, the F hole model has fantastic cut and projection beloved of bluegrass players in bucket loads. The oval hole model has more bass, greater resonance and a sweeter tone. different things suit different people and I would be happy if either were the only mandolin I had.~For those interested in the difference between Oval and F hole mandolins here's a chance for a direct comparison. Lebeda F4 Premium~Jiri's F4 premium has triple bound top, back, fretboard and headstock, radiused fretboard, gold hardware with abalone logo and single flowerpot inlay and extended 22 fret fingerboard. Its in spruce and highly flamed maple, the oval hole gives a little more bass and sustain than the F hole model, i suppose at the loss of a little 'cut' for those battling the b**j*.~Jiri's F4 premium has triple bound top, back, fretboard and headstock, radiused fretboard, gold hardware with abalone logo and single flowerpot inlay and extended 22 fret fingerboard.
