Atkin Dreadnought sitka/rosewood~Alistair is the only English maker we know who makes an 'American' dreadnought. Atkin OO sitka/rosewood~Double O in sitka and rosewood with Ebony bindings, fourteen and three eigths inch lower bout, twenty four and seven eigths inch scale. This very attractive largish parlour guitar has a twelfth fret body join moving the bidge to the centre of the lower bout, this gives the typical warm sweet tone of a twelve fret with great depth and complexity. It has remarkable seperation and clarity with amazing projection and balance. Atkin OM sitka/rosewood~Alister's OM in sitka and rosewood with Ebony bindings has the classic pre-war dimentions, fifteen inch lower bout, twenty five and three eights scale. With scalloped bracing it is very responsive, it has warmer and deeper bass than many OMs but this is easily controlled and not overpowering. Mids are rich, vibrant and complex, trebles are clear and precise. Playability is first class, a very versatile guitar, it responds well to the gentlest touch or or a heavy pick.
