Bourgeois Slope D Custom adirondack/rosewood cutaway 2005.
November 26, 2016
Excellent condition slope D made in Dana's workshop in 2005.
Adirondack and rosewood make for a very powerful guitar with endless headroom, huge basses, awesome warm and full mids and bright and loud trebles. Anyone who know Vo Fletcher it's previous owner will know that this is the kind of guitar that Vo goes for. Built for performance and filling a venue with great definition and projection it also responds very well to a gentler approach.
Pickup in the photos not included.

National ResoPhonic RM1 Walnut with Antique Brass hotplate & parts.
November 25, 2016
Great for blues and generally getting that wonderful resonator tone, National ResoPhonic mandolins are also fantastic for their unbelievable volume. I can still remember the first time I tuned one up and did my usual quick and hard three chord run to check tuning, my ears hurt. If you want to be heard in the pub in that noisy jam there is nothing better.
The tone is nothing like those cheap n' nasty resonators you hear around and about, it is the true mandolin sound with the resonator feel.
National's hotplate pickup is perfect for the job of making this beauty even louder, reproducing the acoustic tone faithfully and adding a tone control.

Campanella mandolins coming to TAMCO.
November 24, 2016
I am delighted to announce that I will be stocking Joe Campanella's mandolins next year.
As you can see from the photos below Joe's background is in violin making. He has gained as fantastic reputation over the last few years. If you do a search on the Mandolin Cafe you will find some glowing reports of his work.
I have an A5 and an F5 due around September.

Weber Gallatin A5: A style, f hole faded Leather.
November 23, 2016
Fantastic value A5 from Bruce and his team. The Gallatin mandolins are designed to get a great sounding mandolin at the best possible price. It has no bindings and satin finish, it looks great and is tone bar braced. It has a Weber solid cast tailpiece, traditional Brekke bridge, radiussed Ebony fingerboard, dual action adjustable truss rod, nickel Grover tuners and comes with a deluxe hardshell case.
It has a very punchy f hole sound. Plenty of power and volume for the bluegrass chop with depth and enough resonance to make it a great all-rounder..

Weber Gallatin A4: A style, oval hole faded leather.
November 23, 2016
With no bindings and a faded leather satin finish this Gallatin A looks great. It is an example of a mandolin where every penny has gone into the sound. With a solid hand carved spruce top, solid hand carved maple back and sides, solid cast tailpiece and Brekke bridge it's the least expensive US of A made A style mandolin around. The basic spec of course does not affect the sound, it has a classic A4 tone, solid, well defined bass with warm and rich mids and crisp ringing trebles. With hard case.
