Mandolin News.
Good news for left handed mandolin players, Eastman F5s are now in stock. Even better news for those with a taste for the finest mandolins. Its great to have Rolfe Gerhardt's Phoenix mandolins back in stock after a gap too long. If you can live without that expensive strap hanger come and try one out, an out and out bluegrasser and the amazingly versatile and playable Neoclassical.
In the vintage department we've got two phenomenal Gibsons in. I have loved every whiteface mandolin we've had and this one is a real gem, all the original bits and that sound so deep it sounds like a mandola. The snakehead is the holy grail of the Gibson A style oval hole mandolin and this one is a great example, a couple of very old, stable cracks on the back, enormous volume with the balance and projection snakeheads are famed for. Both have original cases.
And for those crazies like me who like their mandola and mandolin all in one my Capek has finally arrived. (I like it so much I have sold my A4 basic already!!!) I have put it on the website for everyone to see. I think I could persuade Rosta to make another if someone was interested, though his lead times are lengthening at the moment as folk are beginning to realise how great a mandolin luthier the man is. Rosta and Rolfe Gerhardt are two of the best mandolin luthiers and nicest people I've ever met, makes all the sweat and toil worth it...

Guitar news.
Not a lot but its VERY nice. An early JOM from Dana Bourgeois in great condition and sounding fantastic and one of the finest Bourgeois guitars we've had, the superlative Soloist in Madagascar rosewood and European spruce. Don't believe me, I'm a salesman (check out that smart suit!) come and try it while you can, at £750 less than a new one it won't be here long.
