Those who go onto any of the mandolin message boards will have heard of the sad demise of Rigel. They have been inspirational innovators for the last ten years or so and made some truly spectacular sounding and looking mandolins. Pete (Langdel, Rigels creative genius and luthier) and Peter (Mix, one of the most knowledgeable mandolin experts around) were two of the nicest guys in the business, Rigels customer service was a legendary as were their mandolins, they will be sorely missed. I expect both will re-emerge in some form in the wonderful world of mandolins.. watch this space.

We've got a Gibson 1922 snakehead and a 1916 A on their way. We now have all Furch and Eastman models on stock plus used bargains from Bean Blossom and Michael Kelly. I've also added a few more cases to the website.

Due any day, Trad OM and Grand concert in AAAA Koa from James Goodall. Being from Hawaii James gets the most spectacular Koa so as an exotic woods anorak I'm really looking forward to seeing that one. Also due in November are a dreadnought and 000 from Vancouver's David Webber.
