Mandolin News.
Only one new mandolin in since the last download and that’s an existing model in a new colour!! Flinthills A4 special (£1195) is due any day, A4 Artist and A5 special due next, then some more F5s. I’m still playing my Flinthills after six months… I don’t always keep them that long, the temptation is so great with about 250 mandos in stock right now.

A very rare thing indeed, a used Capek. It’s a deep and bassy F4 at £400 off the new price, it won’t be here long. We’ve got three vintage Gibson arrivals, an A1 at a great price, the bassiest A3 whiteface I’ve heard and an A from 1913. Also on the used front F5s from Kelly and a Kentucky.

At the top end the much anticipated Heidens are now due by the end of January, Brentrup in March and I am working on the possibility of adding another to the fold… watch this space.

The Bussman A4s in different woods are with Simon Mayor as I write with a full review in Acoustic Magazine due in the new year. I will also be rushing them to Dan Beimborn for an authoritative second opinion when they come back from Simon.

Guitar News.
We (I, John has a few days off) will be open 27 – 29 Dec, I know this is a good time to travel for those who have enforced holidays and it’s a good time to come, we have 14 Bourgeois in stock, 11 Brook, 9 Goodall, 6 Weber and loads of great vintage/used stock, from Martin, Taylor, Bourgeois, Brook and more….

The TAMCO custom DS-260 from Dana Bourgeois has arrived. I was so impressed with the rosewood DS-260 I ordered one with all my favourite features, walnut back and sides, curly maple bindings and an abalone rosette. Was it worth it, YES!!! To (re) use one of may favourite clichés it sounds as good as it looks… and it looks awesome! We also have our first OMC for a while, a fingerstylists dream come true.

With the arrival of the Brook Tamar in Rosewood we’ve now got eleven Brook models in stock, all but two at the 2006 price of £1695, come and see (hear?) them while we have so many.

Brook Tamar Rosewood/Spruce Guitar £1775
