Clark A5v
£2,995.00In stockThis is another beautiful and great sounding mandolin from Austin. It has that very full sound that the best f hole mandolins have, solid bass with powerful but warm mids and clear, ringing trebles. It barks and chops loud and strong for the dedicated bluegrass player and sings sweetly for the non-grasser, a fantastic all-rounder.
French polished varnish finish, radius fretboard, Schaller tuning machines, bone nut, Cumberland Acoustics bridge, engraved Silver James tailpiece. Carbon fiber reinforced neck, Englemann spruce top and Bigleaf maple back, bound in ivoroid with black and white side purfling, hard case.

Clark A5v

Clark guitar bodied octave mandolin
£4,295.00In stockGorgeous sunburst guitar bodied octave mandolin, 20.25" scale, ebony tailpiece Cumberland Acoustics bridge, Red Spruce top and Red Maple back, bound in ivoroid with black/white purfling, varnish finish, flowerpot inlay and it comes in a custom Cedar Creek case.
The jazz guitar bodied octave mandolin seems to be the way to go, despite my lack of enthusiasm for the jazz guitar sound this combination seems to have magical qualities, bass that I've not heard in other octaves, but its well defined and solid, if you like your octave mandolins jangly this is not for you. If you like a strong bass and lots of deep warm sound it's perfect.

Clark F5v
£5,795.00In stockAnother fantastic F5 from Austin. It has great volume and projection, with very little effort on the part of the player. A bluegrass cannon - the basses are deep and well defined, the mids are warm and complex and have that oomph that I love, the treble notes are clear all the way up the fretboard. It also responds beautifully to a lighter touch and other styles.. they don't come much better.
Red spruce (Adirondack) top, red maple back and sides, oil varnished with French polished finish, radius fretboard, bone nut, Cumberland Acoustics bridge, Waverly tuners, engraved silver James tailpiece, two way truss rod, flowerpot inlay and bound in ivoroid with black and white side purfling, hard case.
