Peggy White Guitars

Peggy White Guitars

I met Peggy when she came along with Linda Manzer to one of my Legendary Luthier events. I have heard great reports of her work and am looking forward to receiving my first guitar from her.

"Peggy had lifelong dream of building instruments and signed up for Sergei de Jonge’s guitar building course in Chelsea, Quebec. She moved on from there to apprentice with master luthier, Linda Manzer, where she is currently studying and working.

Peggy’s years as a singer/songwriter/performer prepared her well in understanding what’s needed to make a guitar that’s both acoustically full and sensitive and able to withstand the real rigours of being on the road, performing on stage or in a studio.

Peggy has designed and is now building her own line of acoustic guitars and flat top mandolins in the shop of Linda Manzer in Almonte, Ontario."

Wow! Rich, full deep and warm with volume, definition and projection. I have never before heard such solid, clear and well defined trebles on a guitar of this size. If you are looking for a small guitar that does everything a bigger one will do look no further.

It takes a great teacher (Linda Manzer) and a great student to achieve this level of perfection.

Peggy White Reesling Parlour - Italian Spruce & Flamed Maple

There has been a lot of discussion on the Acoustic Guitar Forum recently about the tonal properties of maple. Having been a believer for a long time that in the hands of a skilled luthier it makes a fantastic tonewood for the back and sides of guitars (as well as mandolins) I am delighted to see the consensus heading my way.

This gorgeous Reesling parlour guitar from Peggy proves my point. It has fantastic clarity and balance with a lovely deep and resonant tone. The bass notes are full and well defined, the mids warm and complex and the trebles bright, warm and clear.
