Tim McKnight Guitars Tim McKnight started out in 1992 repairing guitars. As he says this is a very good way to learn how to build a great guitar. You get to see what works and what doesn't. Along the way he has also studied with the legend of modern guitar luthiery Ervin Somogyi. Tim is a great advocate of innovation and in particular the double sides building technique. The idea is that the more rigid the sides are the more freely the top can vibrate. He builds a beautiful range of nine guitar models from parlour to Jumbo. |

McKnight Mini Mac Engelmann/Cocobolo
£5,595.00In stockThere was a lot of excitement created about this beauty in a build thread on the AGF. It was well worth the wait. I love Tim's idea of including a bag of wood shavings and other bits and pieces.. see the photo.
It sounds tremendous, a big and warm sound but with great articulation and the clarity and definition of cocobolo. It responds to a nail-less finger as easily as a heavy pick. A fantastic fingerstyle guitar but capable of much more.
