John How Guitars

I first came across John's guitars at Eric Schoenberg's shop in Tuburon, California (Eric is one of the most generous people I have ever met, he has contributed significantly to my guitar knowledge over the years). It was a pleasure to play John's classic style guitars, when I met him a few years later I decided it was time to get some of his work over here in TAMCO.

His speciality is making guitars in the vintage style, with both X and ladder bracing. He achieves the vintage tone but with the advantages of modern techniques, for instance there is excellent intonation and a playable modern neck profile. He is also a master at achieving the right look with stunning sunbursts and detailing.
