Marc Beneteau Guitars Marc Beneteau started building guitars in Ottawa, Canada in 1974, he now has over three decades of experience. For the past 15 years Marc has been living in St. Thomas, Ontario, following his passion in life, building acoustic guitars. Two-time North American fingerstyle champion Don Ross as well as top Canadian players Terry Tufts, David Gillis and Ray Montford, are among the top players who have discovered the unrivaled quality and articulate and very clear tone or Marc’s guitars. Marc says; "When I started building guitars in 1974, I assumed that, given a few years of experience, I’d pretty much figure out the secrets of guitar making. It didn’t take long to realize how naive this assumption was, but by then I was hooked and it was too late to turn back. To say that guitar making is a challenge would certainly be an understatement and this is probably the main reason why I’ve remained excited all these years and still look forward to going to work each day. I also realize that I am very fortunate to have a career that I love. What could be better? It is truly mind-boggling to realize that I will never come close to unlocking all the secrets to the world of guitar making. Some might find this reality hopelessly frustrating, but I see it as an exciting and stimulating challenge. There is always so much to learn". |

Beneteau OOO-12 Cedar/Ziricote with K&K PowerMix Trinity pu- USED-SOLD
A great combination of 12 frets to the body (moving the bridge nearer to the center of the lower bout, hence a sweetening of tone) and a cutaway giving back the lost access to the higher frets. With a one and seven eights inch nut width this is a fingerstylist's dream, great depth, warmth and complexity with fantastic separation and balance.
I has one top ding and a light scratch, otherwise in excellent condition. With K&K PowerMix Trinity pu.
