Batson Guitars I am delighted to be the only international dealer for these unique and amazing guitars. Brothers Cory and Grant Batson are defying tradition in Nashville Tennessee! Their guitars have four features that set them apart. The aim is to let the top do its job. Moving the sound hole to the side means that a vital part of the vibrating surface is not removed. The cantilevered fretboard means that the fretboard is not attached to the top, dampening vibration. The truss bracing is light and flexible, again allowing maximum top movement. The short tail tailpiece and bridge system stops the traditional bridge damping the top. See their website for a more detailed explanation of these features. Do they sound different.. yes and no. I had expected the differences to be more apparent to the listener than the player but found it to be the other way around. Either way the resonance is outstanding, the richness and depth of tone is unrivalled and the volume is amazing.. come and try one.. How do they look? That's even more down to the individual than sound. The workmanship is exceptional. I have them on the wall opposite the counter (when I am not playing them) and can't keep my eyes off them! |

Batson GC sitka spruce/marbled walnut with Baggs single source pickup SOLD
SoldA very traditional guitar for lovers of everything old fashioned… That may be how it's viewed in a couple of hundred years, some folks don’t like change but we haven’t forced anybody to buy a Batson yet… The Batsons' ‘church organ’ sound is here again.. in excellent condition with some very minor neck marking other scuffs.

Batson Parlour Carpathian Spruce/Ziricote cutaway with Baggs pickup SOLD
SoldThis gorgeous guitar is one of my pet projects. We are often asked for a small guitar with a big sound (sometimes by players with arthritis, or other problems). The answer had to be Batson, so I put in as many features as possible to make it easy to play, short (24.9) scale, armrest, 12 frets to the body and a cutaway.. I am flabbergasted.. Everybody who's played it so far has been awestruck. It's big and warm sounding, with great definition and balance and responds to the heaviest pick or lightest finger. This guitar has all sorts of extras.
