I represent over forty of the very best North American guitar luthiers. Their guitars demonstrate why we are in the ‘New Golden Age of Luthiery’, the workmanship is impeccable, the tone has to be heard to be believed. These instruments are works of acoustic and aesthetic art, to be played and seen.

With over fifty hand made guitars in stock you can try guitars with body sizes from twelve to seventeen inches – parlour to jumbo - and over twenty different tone woods. The guitars range from the most traditional to the most radical, fan-fret, no top soundhole and extended bass. If you think they probably aren’t much different to the widely available famous factory makers come and try for yourself, see the Why Hand Made pages for information on why the individual luthier makes such a big difference.

Most of these luthiers make ten to twenty instruments per year (the famous names make around 500 guitars per day, that's one a minute!). I work closely with them, avoiding distributors (who add to costs and usually have no interest in or knowledge of instruments). I don’t recommend buying instruments purely as an investment (they should be played) but instruments of this quality are unlikely to lose any value and have a good chance of gaining value, maintenance costs are low (strings and an occasional set-up) so you get to play for free!!

I have an acoustically neutral playing room. Please allow at least a couple of hours for your visit. There is information about Brighton on my about pages.

My prices are similar to importing yourself (after paying duty/VAT etc.. see FAQs) and you get a UK based warranty with no need to return instruments to the USA for any warranty work at your cost. In the unlikely event of a problem that requires a return to the maker I will bear all costs.
